"Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function."

Embrace Pet Insurance

It is nearing holiday times, I think. There is a giant chirp in our cold box. Mama calls it a "turkey".  I'm not sure what that is, zakly but it's some kind of chirp, and chirps are good to eat.  Daddy worked on the big table that holds Mama's sewing machine. It's supposed to make it easier for her to make quilts.  I approve of this, because I think all kitties should have quilts. Even doggies.

Daddy is hard to teach. He has not yet grasped the concept that everything doesn't have to have a purpose. SOME things merely exist because they exist!  Mama seems to understand this. She's got LOTSA stuff that don't seem to have any purpose. Aunt Joan calls it clutter!  Today Mama collected all of Sebastian's mousies. He plays with them, drags them all over the house and then gets upset because there aren't any more left in the basket. SO, Mama gets down on her paws, and looks under the the big boxes in her bedroom. She calls them "dressers".  She fishes out the mice from under the cold box, the bed, all sorts of odd places where Sebastian leaves them. Then, tomorrow, she will have to do it all over again because he'll play with them all night.

What is a poor kitty to do!  Be sure you visit our studio on Artfire..    You can get quilties there!

Cats, no less liquid than their shadows, offer no angles to the wind.

Mama has been remiss!  She has been busy with other things, and has not had time to type for me. I am not sure I approve of this, however, she DID mention that being involved with the noisy machine that makes kitty quilts could perhaps be directly related to the amount of green paper available to purchase kibbles and other things to bring me pleasure.

She was gone all day. I do not approve of this in ANY circumstances.  She brought home more corn cobs for the fuzzy tails, so I guess that's one good thing to come of it.  Sebastian is not sure how he feels about her feeding critters outside. He seems to be afraid of an interloper coming into our home.  How does he think *I* felt when she brought HIM inside!  I have had it on good authority that Himself will not permit another cat in the house.  My money's on Mama when she finally finds the right one.

She tells me time is coming for the white stuff to fall from the sky, and the funny smelling tree to appear in the living room. That might be nice.  I am concerned, though, because she seems sadder than usual. I think this is because the Grandfather is not here with us any more.  And her own kittens are busy with their lives, and will not be able to make a 13 hour drive to Michigan.  Perhaps after the holidays are over, she might make a trek.

It is time for me to herd her into the cooler room, where the big bed is. Sebastian and I need to see that she gets her rest. I will be more prompt with my posting.  She thinks she's going to clip my claws tomorrow. FAT CHANCE!  She did Sebastian's.  He's such a wimp. He just sat there and let her do it!!  I, however, will shred her before I allow it!!!
